Always plan ahead. Basements can be simple floor plans or quite elaborate. Perhaps this is a good time to put in a whirlpool or wet bar. It is fairly inexpensive to add extra outlets, cable or phone jacks. If you are working with a contractor you should check references and have a detailed contract. Electrical work should alway be done by a licensed electrician. Worried about moisture? You shouldn't have any problems if you follow the proper procedures. Always fix any cracks in your concrete before starting. Exterior walls should have a vapor barrier and be well insulated. |
